The “Master of Science in Chemistry” is a 4-semester program conducted in German and English. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is also available as a part-time study. It aims to solidify the knowledge of students in all sub-areas of Chemistry and introduce them to more complex matters. The program offers participants two specialisation options in Biosciences, Materials Science or Environmental Chemistry. Throughout their education, students will receive extensive theoretical and practical training. They’ll acquire hands-on experience and key competencies. Also, the MSc is research-oriented and provides participants with the social, methodological, and technical skills required for them to plan and conduct projects. Graduates are qualified to pursue leadership positions in the Manufacture of Chemicals or Drugs, Laboratory Analysis, Process and Product Development, Water Management,  Information and Communication, Science Journalism, in the Pharmaceutical Industry, etc. Graduates can also opt for a consecutive doctoral degree.
