The “Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies” is a 6-semester program conducted in German and English. It is also available as a part-time study, suitable for applicants who wish to further their education without having to pause their careers. The curriculum consists of multifaceted courses with a focus on Theories of Communication Studies, Media Reception, and Media Effects, Methods of Empirical Communication Research Statistics, Communication Management, Media System, and Media Change, Media Studies, Book Science, Media Education, etc. Additionally, participants can personalise their education by taking up elective modules. They’ll acquire hands-on experience and key competencies. Furthermore, the BA is research-oriented and provides students with the social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to carry out scientific work on their own. Graduates are qualified to pursue positions in press, publishing, broadcasting companies, film production, media education, audience and media research, communication consulting and agencies, etc. They can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
