The “Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies” is a 4-semester program conducted in German and English. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is available as part-time study as well. It aims to solidify the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. Participants will dive deep into subjects such as Communication and Media Research, Media Culture and Media Education, and Historical Communication, Media and Book Studies. Students can also choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their education. The MA is application-oriented and provides participants with practical relevance and professional core competencies. Graduates are qualified to pursue a career in the media and communication industry, media and opinion research, educational institutions, and more. They can opt for a consecutive PhD program as well.
