The “Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies” is a 6-semester program taught in German. It is also offered as a part-time study, ideal for applicants who wish to balance out their careers, education, and private lives. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses with the main focus on the cultural processes viewed from a socio-philosophical, historical, social, and critical standpoint. Throughout their education, students will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training. They’ll acquire hands-on experience and key competencies needed for day-to-day operations. Furthermore, the BA is research-oriented and provides participants with the social, methodological, and analytical skills required to carry out scientific work independently. Graduates can find employment in cultural institutions, press and media, adult education institutions, research institutions, City festivals and theatre/film festivals, etc. They can also pursue a consecutive Master’s degree.
