The “Bachelor of Arts in Egyptology” is a 6-semester program conducted in German. It is also offered as a part-time course, designed for individuals who wish to combine work and study at the same time. Students will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training in Egyptian Scripts, Egyptian Languages, History and Archaeology of Egypt, Cultural and Philosophical Questions and Methods, Research History, and more. Additionally, participants can personalise their studies and opt for elective modules. Through various case studies and application-oriented seminars, students will acquire hands-on experience and professional core competencies needed in the real-life working environment. The BA prepares graduates for work in Exhibition, Art and Culture Management, Publishing, Journalism, Libraries and Archives, Adult Education, etc. They can also pursue a further Master’s degree.
