The “Master of Arts in Egyptology” is a 4-semester program taught in German. It is also available as a part-time study, suitable for applicants who wish to further their qualifications and continue their current professional activities. The course is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. During their education, students will focus on the languages, history, and culture of Egypt in pre-Islamic times. They’ll also have the opportunity to personalise their studies by undertaking elective modules. The MA is research-oriented and provides participants with the methodological, technical, and analytical skills needed for them to carry out scientific work independently. Occupational possibilities are in exhibition, art and culture management, journalism, publishing, project management, adult education, and research.
