The “Master of Arts in German as a Foreign and Second Language” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is also available as a part-time study suitable for applicants who wish to further their qualifications without having to pause their careers. Throughout their education, students will dive into Cultural and Literary Studies, Didactics and Methodology, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, and more. Additionally, participants can personalise their education by taking up elective modules. The MA is research-oriented and aims to provide students with the social, methodological, and technical skills required to successfully plan and conduct scientific work. Graduates are qualified to assume leadership positions in the fields of education, international organizations, cultural mediation, media and publishing, foreign service, foreign business relations, etc.
