Description
The “Bachelor of Arts in Indology, Tibetology, and Mongolian Studies” is a 6-semester program conducted in German and English. It is also available as a part-time study suitable for applicants who wish to further their education without having to pause their career activities. Throughout their education, students will dive deep into the philology of the various source languages - Sanskrit, Hindi, Tibetan, and Mongolian. They’ll also focus on the history of language and literature, the history of philosophy and religion, and the history, art, and cultural history of the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia. The BA is application-oriented and provides participants with industry-specific skills, language and literate competencies, as well as hands-on experience. Graduates are qualified to pursue leadership positions in cultural institutions, adult education, media, tourism, diplomatic services, development cooperation, and more. They can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
