The “Master of Arts in Indology, Tibetology, and Mongolian Studies” is a German-taught program with a duration of 4 semesters. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The aim of the program is to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. It offers participants 4 specialisations to choose from - Classical Indology, Modern South Asia, Tibetology, and Mongolian Studies. Throughout their education, students will receive extensive theoretical and practical training. Furthermore, the MA is research-oriented and provides participants with the social, methodological, and analytical skills needed to conduct scientific work independently. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue leadership positions in the academic field or pursue positions in the cultural and economic fields, media, tourism, diplomatic service and development cooperation, etc.
