The “Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Studies” is a German-taught program with a duration of 6 semesters. It is offered as a part-time study as well, ideal for individuals who wish to work and learn simultaneously. Throughout their education, students will focus on Modern Japanese, Modern Social and Cultural Studies of Japan, Japan and Modern East Asia, Media Skills: Japan and Japanese in the Media, and more. Through various case studies and application-oriented seminars, participants will acquire extensive theoretical knowledge and gain language competencies. Furthermore, the BA offers students the opportunity to carry out semesters abroad and broaden their horizons. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue leadership positions in political, economic, cultural, or media fields. They can also opt for a subsequent Master’s degree.
