The “Master of Science in Journalism” is a 6-semester program conducted in German and English. It is designed for applicants with a relevant Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma who wish to further their education. The course is also offered as a part-time study. The aim of the MSc is to deepen the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. Throughout their education, participants will focus on Basic Journalism, Organisation and Development of Digital Journalism, Computer Science, Applied Journalism Research, and more. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and further their competencies. The MSc is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experience and industry-specific skills. Professional activities include work in editorial offices for newspapers and magazines, radio and television broadcasting, online and social media, news agencies and production companies, media companies, and more.
