The “Master of Arts in Linguistics” is a 4-semester program conducted in English. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is also available as a part-time study. The focal point of the MA is to solidify the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Semantics, Phonology, Morphology, and Syntax, Empirical methods, Typology, Computational Perspectives on Grammar, Grammatical Perspectives on Cognition, etc. Additionally, participants can personalise their education by undertaking elective modules. Through various case studies and application-oriented seminars, students will acquire hands-on experience and key competencies. The MA prepares graduates to handle complex tasks and assume leadership positions in various sectors of the field.
