The “Master of Arts in Literary Writing” is a 4-semester program conducted in German. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is available as a part-time study as well. The focal point of the program is to deepen the knowledge of students and further their competencies. The MA is application-oriented and aims to enable students to realise literary novels, narratives, or essay projects and prompt their publication. Throughout various case studies and group projects, participants will acquire hands-on experience and prepare for the dynamic environment of the field. Furthermore, the MA promotes personal growth and the development of soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication and organisation, moderation, and more. Graduates are qualified to work in the Media, Press and Publishing, Education and teaching, or become freelancers.
