Description
The “Master of Science in Meteorology” is a 4-semester program conducted in English. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is also available as a part-time study. Throughout their education, students will acquire in-depth theoretical and practical training in Dynamics and Synoptics, Weather Briefing, Atmospheric Radiation, Global Climate Dynamics, and more. Participants can also diversify their studies by taking up elective modules. Through various case studies, group projects, and seminars students will acquire hands-on experiance and professional core competencies. Furthermore, the MSc is research-oriented and provides participants with the social, methodological, and technical skills needed to conduct projects on their own. Graduates are qualified to pursue leadership positions in the fields of Meteorological Research, Weather and Climate Services, Renewable Energy, Environmental Protection and Management, Air Pollution Control and Noise Protection, and more. They can also opt for a consecutive PhD degree.
