Description
The “Bachelor of Science in Midwifery” is a 7-semester program conducted in German. It is also offered as a dual-study course, suitable for applicants who wish to further their competencies and focus on practice work. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on The family in special situations, Scientific work, quantitative and qualitative research methods, Networks and Cooperation, and Midwifery in the professional field: theory-practice transfer. Additionally, participants can diversify their studies by undertaking elective modules. The program is application-oriented and provides students with hands-on experience and key competencies. Furthermore, the BSc promotes personal growth and the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and organisation, moderation, and more. The program prepares graduates to handle complex situations and assume positions as midwives in Obstetric Departments of Hospitals, Midwifery Offices, and Birth Houses.
