The “Master of Science in Mineralogy and Materials Science” is a 4-semester program conducted in German and English. It is suitable for applicants with a correlating Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma. The course is also offered as a part-time study, suitable for individuals who wish to combine working and learning. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses such as Geometric Crystallography and Crystal Chemistry, Mineral Classification and Microscopy, Diffraction Methods, and Real Structure and Electron Microscopy. Students can also choose from a variety of elective modules and personalise their education. The MSc is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experience, industry-specific skills, and key competencies. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to assume leadership positions in the Chemical Industry, Materials Research, Material Development, and Research and Development. They can also opt for a consecutive doctoral degree.
