The State Examination program “Pharmacy“ is 8 semesters long and taught in German. The curriculum includes multifaceted courses with a focus on Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Biology, Pharmaceutical Technology, basics of Human Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacy, Manufacturing and Properties of Pharmaceuticals, Testing of Drugs and Medicinal Substances, and much more. Students can also further their competencies by taking up elective modules. The program is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experience, key competencies, and industry-specific skills. The program prepares graduates for the challenging environment of the profession and qualifies them to pursue careers in public or hospital pharmacies, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and Sales, Health Policy, Research And Development, and more. Also, graduates can opt for a consecutive doctoral degree.
