The “Master of Science in Physics” is a 4-semester program conducted in German and English. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is available as a part-time study as well. Its focal point is to solidify the knowledge of students and introduce them to more complex matters. Participants will have the opportunity to choose a specialisation and set their career paths early on. Fields of study options are Experimental Solid State Physics, Soft Matter Physics, Theoretical Physics, and Applied Physics. The MSc is research-oriented and provides students with the social, methodological, and analytical skills required to carry out scientific work independently. Also, the program promotes personal growth and the development of soft skills needed for a successful career. Graduates are qualified to pursue positions in Industrial Research and Development, Quality Assurance and Management, Process and Product Development, Data Collection and Analysis, and research institutions and universities.
