The “Bachelor of Arts in Romance Studies” is a 6-semester program conducted in German and English. It is also available as a part-time study, ideal for individuals who wish to further their competencies without having to pause their careers. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Linguistic Theories, History, Distribution, System and Varieties of the Languages, Theories of Literary and Cultural Studies, Interpretation and Analysis of Literary and Media Texts, etc. Students can also choose from a variety of elective modules and diversify their education. Through group projects and application-oriented seminars, they will acquire key competencies and practical relevance. The BA prepares graduates for day-to-day operations and qualifies them to assume positions in Press, Media, Cultural Institutions,  Editing and Librarianship, Advertising, Public Relations, and marketing, Language Technology and Communication Consulting, etc. Also, they can pursue a consecutive Master’s degree.
