The “Bachelor of Arts in Sinology” is a 6-semester program conducted mainly in German. It is available as a part-time study as well, suitable for applicants who wish to work and learn simultaneously. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses with a focus on the Modern Chinese Language, Sinology, History of China, Classic Chinese, and more. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules and diversify their education. Throughout their studies, participants will receive in-depth theoretical and practical training. They’ll acquire hands-on experience, as well as subject-specific skills. Furthermore, the BA promotes personal growth and the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, intercultural communication, moderation, etc. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue a career in Culture and Media industries, Language mediation in companies, Diplomatic Services, Journalism, Publishing, Adult Education, Tourism, and more. They can also opt for a consecutive Master’s degree.
