The teacher training program “Teaching Art at Grammar Schools“ is 10 semesters long and taught in German. Throughout their education, students will receive artistic-practical, art-pedagogical, didactic, and art-scientific training. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Art Education, Art Theory and History, Artistic Production and Reception, etc. They’ll have the opportunity to personalise their studies by taking up elective modules. The program is application-oriented and provides participants with hands-on experience needed for day-to-day operations. Furthermore, the vocational course promotes personal growth and the development of soft skills such as communication and organisation, teamwork, leadership, moderation, problem-solving, etc. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to assume teaching positions in Art at grammar schools.
