The teacher training course “Teaching Art at Primary Schools“ is 8 semesters long and is taught in German. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on Subject Didactics, Educational Sciences, Body-Voice Communication, as well as Theory and History, Production, Reception and Communication of Visual Arts. Additionally, students can choose from a plethora of elective modules that will broaden their perspectives. Through various case studies and application-oriented seminars, participants will acquire hands-on experience and pedagogical, developmental psychological, and methodological skills needed for the dynamic environment of the field. Also, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, project management, moderation, and more. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to assume teaching positions in Art at elementary schools.
