The teaching course “Teaching English at Secondary Schools“ for positions in high schools is 10 semester long and taught in English and German. It is also available as a part-time study, suitable for applicants who wish to further their competencies without having to pause their professional activities. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on English and American Literary and Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Specialist Didactics, as well as Language Practice. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to diversify their education by selecting elective modules. The program is application-oriented and aims to provide students with practical relevance, didactic and methodological skills, as well as soft skills. Upon completion of the program, graduates can assume a teaching positions in English at high schools or pursue a career in Journalism, Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Publishing, Cultural Institutions, International Contacts, etc.
