Description
The teacher training course “Teaching English for Special Education“ lasts 10 semesters and it is taught in English and German. The course is offered as a part-time study as well, giving professionals the opportunity to learn and work at the same time. The curriculum includes multifaceted courses with a focus on English and American Literary and Cultural Studies, Didactics, Methodology, Linguistics, and Language Practice. Throughout their education, participants will acquire in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge. They’ll develop key competencies and a holistic approach to complex situations. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and organisation, moderation, etc. Graduates are qualified for teaching positions in special education institutions or for assuming positions that require English language, cultural or literary skills.
