The “Bachelor of Arts in Translation” is a 6-semester program conducted mainly in German. It is also offered as a part-time study, suitable for applicants who wish to work and learn simultaneously. The curriculum consists of interdisciplinary courses in General and Special Translatology, General and Special Linguistics, Technical Linguistics, Translation/Interpreting, Cultural Studies, and Terminology and Language Technology. Additionally, participants can diversify their studies by undertaking elective modules. The BA is application-oriented and provides students with industry-specific skills and practical relevance. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to pursue positions in Computational Linguistics, Documentation, Proofreading, Media Evaluation, Technical Editing, Tourism. They can also opt for a subsequent Master’s degree.
