The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in Business Administration” offered by the University of Mannheim has a distinct international emphasis. Students learn thoroughly the foundations of business and economics, as well as develop their soft skills via seminars, focusing on themes like dispute resolution and time management. Participants have the opportunity to study languages such as Spanish, French or Japanese. The fourth semester, they may gain expertise in two elective areas. Incorporated in the curriculum is a semester abroad, typically the fifth. As a requirement for enrolment, applicants need proof of English proficiency, as some of the subjects are taught in English. The course of study is organized in eight subject areas, such as Economics, Ethics and Rhetoric and International Studies. Graduates are prepared for various jobs, for example Credit Analysts or Account Managers.
