The combination program “Corporate Lawyer” offered by the University of Mannheim provides an education for students to become lawyers, who are also competent in Business Administration and Economics. Civil, business and economic law are part of the first stage, the bachelor`s degree in Business Law. Modules in law make up about 60% of the integrated. 30 percent of the program is represented by subjects in Business Administration and Economics, with a specialisation chosen by the students in either tax and accounting or in human resources. Additionally, participants take classes that develop their soft skills. The second stage – state examination, is possible after two more years, during which students are taught about public and criminal law. After completion of the first phase, graduates are qualified to work in legal and human resources departments, in auditing and etc. After the first state examination in Law, students are ready for the next step towards becoming lawyers.
