The two-year Master`s program “Master of Arts in Culture and Economy: Media and Communication Studies” offered by the University of Mannheim deepen students` gained knowledge through the Bachelor` s program. The focus is set on the major – Media and Communication Studies, whereas only one third of the program is emphasized on the Business Administration or Economics. Students gain expertise in the qualitative and quantitative research methods in the field of media and communication. Moreover, they can attend seminars, in which current topics and questions within the digital communication context are addressed. Based on their previous knowledge, participants decide on a minor - Business Administration or Economics. Students can write their Master`s thesis in their specialization subject, depending on their interests. Graduate of the program have comprehensive understanding of economic processes and this is the reason why they are wants in positions that needs both culture and economics competence. They build a career in the fields of Marketing and sales, Editorial departments and etc. Media and Communication Studies degree makes graduates also suitable in various media outlets – television, online media and etc.
