The six-semester “Bachelor of Science in Economics`` offered by the University of Mannheim provides a comprehensive study of all important economics related issues. The program consists of the major, that is compound of many subjects - basic economic principles, microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic policy and etc. Students have the opportunity to choose one or more minors. Various combinations are possible, Economics with Mathematics, Law, Philosophy and others. Important competences, for example – conflict management and presentation techniques, can be developed through attendance of seminars. Economists can work in a variety of settings where knowledge of economics is needed. Based on their specialization, graduates of the program can work in ministries, politics, or in the banking field. Optionally, they can build a career in the business consulting or business journalism.
