Description
The English-taught program “Master of Science in Economics” offered by the University of Mannheim is based on mathematical main concepts and driven by a qualitative approach. In the advanced stage, methodical as well as theoretical specialist experience is conveyed in three specializations, preparing students for both career in business or in academia. During the introductory phase students are taught micro – and macroeconomics, and econometrics. Moreover, students can choose their own subjects to specialize in and can also attend modules form other program, for example, the Mannheim Master in Management program or the master’s programs of the School of Social Sciences (Sociology and Political Science). The Competition and Regulation Economics (CaRE) track allows students to attend interdisciplinary courses in the area of competition and regulation, concentrating on subjects that combine law and economics. During writing of the Master`s thesis every student is supervised by an academic staff member. Graduates can work in politics, insurance sector, business consulting and etc.
