The three-year degree program “Bachelor of Arts in History” offered by the University of Mannheim focuses on cultural structures and historical changes in society. During the course of study European and American cultures and societies are learnt, as well as legal and economic history. Students gain knowledge in all historical periods, but the focal point of the Bachelor is modern history. In addition to the major in history, an opportunity for a minor is available. Students can choose a subject of their interest, for example Philosophy or Political Science. In this way, participants can build their own professional profiles. Graduates have various job options – work in museums or scientific journalism.
