The degree “Master of Arts in History`` offered by the University of Mannheim focuses on the application-oriented study of existing theories and research methods in history. Students can gain expertise in an area of their choice: Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern Times, Contemporary History and Economic History. In the framework of two semesters, students are working on a project in collision with museums, memorial sites, libraries and etc. During this time participants obtain hands on experience in the communication of historical knowledge. Via the elective module Interdisciplinary Diversification students can expand their knowledge in other than History field such as Sociology, Political Science and etc. Graduates of the program can work in the area of business consulting, history marketing and others, but the Master is also a great choice for those, who want to build an academic career.
