The degree “Bachelor of Arts in Sociology`` offered by the University of Mannheim educate students on social topics and questions, as it teaches them to analyse using scientific methods. The structure of the program is divided into a core subject and supplementary modules. The focal point is on Sociology, during which students are given a solid basis in the area. The module consists of introductory modules and advanced ones, which emphasize on four sectors: general and specific types of Sociology, a comparison of European societies, social psychology, and methods of empirical social research. The supplementary modules are compound of development module, in addition to which there is an internship, and social skills module. In collision with their interests, students can attend classes in media, informatics, or a foreign language. The minor subject of the program can be chosen (Applied Informatics, Business Administration, Mathematics and etc.). Graduate of the program can build career in a variety of fields, such as human resources, public service, media and etc.
