In today’s fashion of globalization, the one country that symbolizes cosmopolitanism and the gathering of various cultures is the USA. American Studies is an academic field that focuses on the history, society and culture of the United States of America. Students in American Studies have the opportunity to explore literature, music, film, politics and economy of the country and become familiar with all aspects of American culture. American Studies programs typically teach subjects like Early American Political Culture, Theories and Histories of Literature and Culture, The Social Uses of Language, American Arts and Media, Advanced Language Studies, Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, and more.
