The teacher education program “Master Secondary Level 1” offered by University of Teacher Education Valais is aimed for students who wish to specialize in at least one discipline as defined in the French-speaking study plan. The training is tertiary level, meets 6 part-time semesters and results in two titles, being obtained concurrently, a teaching diploma and Master of Arts or Science in Secondary Education. At the completion of the training, students would have earned about 110 ECTS credits. Depending on the location of school, the training curriculum is taught in either French or German. After completing the training program, graduates will find jobs in a variety of public schools in the specialty in which they choose to practice.
