The department of Media Studies at University of Television and Film Munich offers a nine-semester, full-time study course. The program includes lectures, seminars and practical tasks. The students will learn the fundamentals of the history, analysis and theory of film and television in four, two-week lectures, which include subjects like expressionism, Italian neorealism and the American New Wave. During the second semester, the participants will be able to analyse the dramatic structure of the films and will gain knowledge of major theories. During their studies, the students will write two individual academic papers. The graduates of the university will receive a graduation diploma.
