The University of Wuppertal, founded in 1972, is a public university seated in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is split up into eight schools: the School of Humanities, the School of Human and Social Sciences, the School of Business and Economics, the School of Mathematics and Social Sciences, the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the School of Electrical, Information and Media Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Safety Engineering, the School of Art and Design, and the School of Education. Nearly 22,000 students are enrolled in study programs related and unrelated to teaching. The scope of studies unrelated to teaching comprises some dual and career-integrated programs, such as “Civil Engineering“ (B.Sc., dual program), “Electrical Engineering“ (B.Sc., dual program), “Health Economics and Health Management“ (B.Sc., career-integrated program), and “Mechanical Engineering“ (B.Eng., dual program). Added to this are the continung education Master degree courses “Work and Organizational Psychology“ (M.A.), “Building Operations“ (M.B.E.), as well as “Real Estate Management and Construction Project Management“ (M.Sc.). Depending on the respective program, graduates of the University of Wuppertal receive a B.A., B.Sc., B.Ed., M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., or M.B.E..
