The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Textile and Surface Design” offered at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin public university provides a full-time course with a duration of eight semesters. During the first year, all participants get introduced to the core principals of textile and surface design. From the second year onwards, students are urged to conduct independent academic researchers as the research focus falls on the following topics: Functional Surfaces within an Architectural Context and Sensory Soft Interfaces within the Context of Body, Space, Object. The Bachelor program gives participants the opportunity to build a career in the fields of production management, technical analysis, fashion and outwear designing, etc.
