The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Science in Bionics” offered by the Westphalian University located in Bocholt provides students with theoretical and practical abilities in the both focuses of the program-lightweight construction and sensor technology, ensuring a direct entry-level competence as well as preparation for future scientific or technical training. The comprehensive technical components of the study enable graduates to be given directly technical issues such as making structures easier or more long-lasting by optimizing their form. The curriculum is divided into modules. Training blocks are made up of modules with similar material, building the contents from the first semester onwards. Students will be able to work on the creation of future innovations and the enhancement of existing solutions thanks to the wide range of topics discussed throughout the course of study. Upon successful completion of the program graduates are qualified to work in material development, mechanical and plant engineering, industrial and consumer electronics, medical technology, etc.
