The six-semester interdisciplinary study program “Bachelor of Science in Business Logistics” offered by Westphalian University located in Recklinghausen provides students with the needed knowledge and skills in order to become corporate logistics specialists. The newest insights form engineering, business, and IT sciences are constantly taken into consideration while presenting corporate logistics learning content. Whereas throughout the first two semesters students gain foundation knowledge in technology, business administration, IT and other relevant subjects, in the next three semesters modules that convey more in-depth content are taught. Individual emphasis topics might be chosen based on personal preferences through electives. Incorporated to the curriculum, there is a practical phase. The acquired competencies are used in an operational setting in the sixth semester. The course of study culminates with the completion of a Bachelor`s thesis. Upon successful completion of the program graduates are qualified to work in the strategic planning, supply chain management, logistics planning, etc.
