The study program “Bachelor of Science in Computer Science: Software Systems” offered by Westphalian University located in Bocholt provides students with knowledge and skills in order to be ready to take on challenging positions in the computer science area. The course covers a broad spectrum of topics, from software design and different tools through programming in several languages, as well as related topics such as project management. The topic selection is purposefully varied in order to provide students` individual interests the best chance for growth and to provide a diverse verity of specialty options. Besides the core subjects from computer science, students can attend courses such as business informatics. Focus modules form three areas are offered in the fourth and fifth semester- Business, Entertainment, Mobile. Most of the courses in the main part of the studies are project-based, completed in collaboration with local businesses.
