The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering” offered by Westphalian University located in Gelsenkirchen provides students with an education which is continuously organized in modules that develop on each other. The course of study offers a broad spectrum range of topics from the area of electrical engineering. Throughout the first three semesters students will gain foundation knowledge in mathematics, physics, computer science, etc. besides the lectures in electrical engineering, there is a project work, ensuring the material to be applied. From the fourth semester on, modules such as signals and systems, electrical machines, control technology, communication technology, and others are attended by the students. The gained knowledge is put to practical use outside of the university as part of the practical stage during the sixth semester. This practical phase leads to the selection of topic for the Bachelor`s thesis, which is the finale of the course along with the final colloquium.
