Description

The “Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering” program at Westphalian University can be with a length of 6, 7 or 8 semesters, depending on the form of study. The mathematical, technical, and scientific fundamentals are taught in the first two semesters. This occurs in traditional topics like chemistry, mathematics, and physics, as well as in more specialized courses like CAD and materials science. The first in-depth modules in the third semester build on these foundations. Thermodynamics, design engineering, and environmental economics are only a few examples. The emphasis shifts to application-oriented technology modules in the fourth semester, allowing students to identify real answers to specific challenges. Admission requirements include either a technical college entrance qualification, general university entrance qualification or vocational qualification with at least two years of vocational training and subsequent three years of professional experience.
