The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering” offered by Westphalian University located in Recklinghausen provides students with knowledge and skills in the basic topics of engineering and economics as well as their interconnections. Throughout the first two semesters students will acquire understanding of the mathematical, scientific, and business fundamentals. During the next three semesters, students will have the opportunity to attend more specialized modules in the fields of economics and law with investment and finance, etc. Furthermore, participants will also learn subjects from the engineering areas such as mechatronics, machine elements, electrical engineering, etc. Moreover, the abilities learned in the practical phase are used in an operational setting in the sixth semester. The course of study is distinguished by the actual projects during which students can put the acquired knowledge into practice. The program culminates with the completion of a Bachelor`s thesis. Graduates of the program are qualified to work in the fields of project management, consulting, computer-aided design and engineering, etc.
