The “Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering - Technical Facility Management” program at Westphalian University is either with a length of 6, 7 or 8 semesters, depending on the form of study. During their studies, students are taught how to optimize the interaction of land, buildings, technical systems and infrastructure facilities. In the first two years, the respective subject-specific basics are taught. In the latter semesters, the focus is more on application-oriented modules. The studies conclude with a Bachelor’s thesis and a final oral examination. Graduates can plan and coordinate architectural and engineering services for later use, as well as coordinate all property-related services to assure the building's economic and technical operations. They can also plan and coordinate rehabilitation and demolition projects.
