The dual degree program “Bachelor of Engineering in Media Informatics” is offered by Westphalian University. It spans a standard duration of 8 semesters, and is carried out at Gelsenkirchen. The course combines theory and practice at a high level. Moreover, students there spend two out of five days at the university in the first four semesters and spend the other three days in a training company. In addition, participants acquire subject-specific knowledge in Design of interactive media, Media technology and Computer graphics. A practical training is also incorporated, aiming to strengthen the practical relevance of the curriculum. Upon graduation, students become specialists in the subfields of media informatics.
