The six-semester full-time or alternatively eight-semester part-time study program “Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology” offered by Westphalian University located in Gelsenkirchen provides students with an education, arranged in small groups, including modern laboratory equipment, and the opportunity to take part in scientific projects. In this course of study medicine in interdisciplinary mixed together with engineering. Students will get a practical understanding of contemporary medical imaging, ultrasound equipment, and tomographs. Students will learn to interact with medical specialists in their technical language. Upon successful completion of the program graduates are qualified to work in the fields of medical technology, food and pharmaceuticals, mechatronics, etc.
