With a duration of eight semesters the “Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in Ship Operations” is offered by the Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design. The course aim is to prepare the participants for the responsibility for the complete electrotechnical systems as well as their operation and maintenance on board a ship or in the area of the offshore wind farms. The program corresponds to the current state of technology and science while providing the based on the principle of unity and research knowledge and teaching. During their study, students learn both the technical and scientific fundamentals of electrical engineering with marine electrical engineering by meeting with imparted subjects such as signals and systems, electrical power engineering, thermodynamics, electrical machines, ship electrical systems and more.
