Offered by the Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design, the certificate course “Maritime Shipping” includes professional training and refresher courses from all areas of the maritime economy. Throughout the course, participants obtain new skills and abilities and refresh their competence and knowledge in various areas. The topics include dealing with the latest ship command and navigation technology, ship engine operating technology, ship and team management, crisis management in emergency situations and many more. Students are able to expand their experience in the excellent-equipped “Maritime Simulation Center”. The center consists of special features, ship handling simulator, ship engine simulator, vessel traffic services simulator and many more where participants are able to train in real conditions and learn how to maneuver their ship in each situation.
