The both technological and artistic-oriented study program “Master of Arts in Material Culture Design” is with a duration of three semesters and offered by the Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design. The course aim is to build on the knowledge and skills students have already acquired in the bachelor and expand their perception with the special elective modules included. The focus of the program falls on the specialist fields of product design with general aspects of the interaction between the practical application and design as a whole along with tasks that involve the conception, design, and execution of products based on profound knowledge of material, control and manufacturing technologies. During their study, the participants master their comprehension in jewellery and identity, sustainable design strategies, design theories, business management and more.
